The high angle aptitude of the shot created very interesting entrance wound. While the bruising on the thorax looks like an exit wound, no punctures in the hide were detected.

Although the entrance wound looks large, virtually no fragmentation took place in the viscera. Damage to the internal organs was extremely limited in the abdominal region. The bullet did cause significant damage to the liver however, and larger fragments were found in the lungs and heart.
